Phillip Washington (aka Cygnus) is an electronic musician based Dallas, Texas and is making
a name for himself since the early 2010’s with releases on Central Processing Unit, Breakin’ Records, Biosoft Records, Recondite and Icesea to name a few. Gentrified Underground is giving his first & sought after tape-longplayer “Cybercity Z-Ro” from 2012 a vinyl reissue and a total cover-art make-over by Walid El Barbir. These aquatic and futuristic compositions represent a seminal timestamp for Phillip’s discography and electro in general.

Cygnus aka Phillip Washington returns home to CPU with Deep Analysis. Six tracks of nebulous compositions all containing his signature emotional and melodic electro. Sheffield Bleep is an ode to CPU Records complete with an old school vocoder rap over CR-78 rhythms. Deep Analysis is an answer to one of Washington’s favourite tracks ‘Sleep Paralysis’ by Mikron. Ultraterrestrial, Her Majesty and Descent of Man are beautiful si-fi electronic music without comparison. The E.P. wraps things up with Hallucinate Data cementing Cygnus as a master of the genre.
Fundamental Records presents a limited to 250 copies 7×12″ vinyl record box, that includes: 4×12” with tracks by Carl Finlow, 2×12” with remixes by Radioactive Man, The Exaltics, Cygnus, Jensen Interceptor, Morphology & Sync 24, Mr. Velcro Fastener, Hardfloor, ADJ and an extra 12” from the remix contest with a selection by Carl Finlow of his favorite remixes by Brice Kelly, Relaxant, Varaz, Dibu-Z and N-Ter. Also in the box is a high quality black T-Shirt silkscreen printed: ”Electro Music There Is Only One Truth”, info-sheet about the project, silkscreen printed in white over a black paper, personally signed by Carl Finlow, and direct access to midi data, including Ableton Live project files and individual samples.
