2:29 – Shifting Bits [DDCS07]

‘Shifting Bits’ marks the first full-length statement from 2:29, a rising young artist from the Netherlands. Rooted in shadowy, melody-streaked electro, the five original tracks (including one self-rework) revolve around the idea of transition and transformation. The title Shifting Bits reflects 2:29’s background as a software engineer: in computing, shifting bits alters values, creates new ones, or even causes loss, an irreversible process that parallels the way sound, workflow, and artistic intention evolve. Moving from DAW-based attempts to a more tactile hardware approach, these tracks capture the moment where experimentation starts crystallizing into a distinct voice. The cassette is rounded out by three remixes: a distorted and vintage-melodic rework from fellow Dutch producer Betonkust, a darker, driving version by Croatian veteran Le Chocolat Noir, and a contribution from Budapest’s Hadron Lundgren, his third appearance on the label, who reshapes the original into cold, atmospheric form.

VA – A Benumbed Waiting [SLVMNCR010]

A Benumbed Waiting is a ruthless odyssey where reality bends and the rhythm of chaos takes hold. This Limited Edition Cassette album contains 15 tracks featuring an unholy marriage of Barcelona’s underground stew and international artists who somehow know exactly how to make pulsating noise feel like liberation. The compilation oozes grit and mad creativity, from deep acid basslines to harsh industrial textures, wonky bass explosions and driving electro rhythms.

VA – Pride Or Die [DDC08]

“Pride Or Die is our next fundraiser compilation released in solidarity with Budapest Pride.

In March 2025 the Hungarian Parliament rewrote the country’s assembly law, tightening the rules for all public demonstrations — but with wording clearly aimed at shutting down Pride. The amendment threatens marchers and organisers with fines of up to €500 and lets police deploy facial‑recognition systems. It follows a 2020 ban on legal gender recognition and the 2021 law censoring LGBTQ+ content for minors.

Meanwhile, the government continues to target civil organisations more broadly, signalling an even darker outlook for the future of democratic rights and community spaces in Hungary.

To answer this attack on basic civil and queer rights, Dalmata Daniel teamed up with 34 artists from Hungary and across the globe to contribute exclusive tracks. The result is a diverse, powerful collection that channels solidarity, resistance, and care through sound.

All proceeds will be donated to the Budapest Pride Foundation (Szivárvány Misszió Alapítvány)

Betonkust – DDE06 [DDE06]

Dalmata Daniel label continues its lathe cut series welcoming back Betonkust from the Netherlands. These tracks revisit the raw analog sound reminiscent of his previous releases on the label, an instantly recognizable trademark of his sound from the first listen. The single kicks off with “Bill And His Cat,” a cute and playful electro track, followed by the lullaby-esque synthwave masterpiece “Second Rerun.”

Betonkust – Tropicana Tracks EP [ALT010]

New Betonkust release featuring melody-focused underwater house and electro on Innershades’ Altered Circuits imprint. ALT010 is a collection of four tracks that owes its name to Tropicana, the infamous subtropical swimming complex erected in 1988 on the outskirts of Rotterdam. Although it has long stopped serving its initial purpose, the huge, outlandish building remains an inescapable relic, reminding everyone of its faded heyday. Back then, next to welcoming thousands of families for a swim, it occasionally hosted mega raves – and thus also played a small, obscure part in the then equally burgeoning Dutch dance scene.

A true lowlands collaboration on the Clone Jack For Daze Series. Betonkust and Innershades team up for the Benelux Connection EP. VA – Family Matters Vol.2 [AAL010]

The second chapter in the Family Matters serie marks the 10th release on the Belgian record label 9300 Records. Via electro, through house and breakbeat, all the way to New Beat, established members offer you their view on the different aspects in the spectrum of electronical music. It’s a nostalgic reference to the past, through the eyes of the present. Alessandro Parisi makes his first contribution to the label with an ominous New Beat influenced track, while Betonkust joins him on the dark B-side with his well known non compromising electro. A-side consists of dance-floor approved electro/house tracks of both Intimacy & Innershades and a sober, yet sophisticated anthem by the hand of Robert D.

VA – Various IV [030LP005]

The fourth various artists compilation album on Netherlands based 030303 Records. Splitradix has been given the honour to kick off with a wonderfully meandering acid epos, reminiscent of 808 State’s more obscure output, with a euphoric element entering about halfway. Zaphyd takes the energy level up a bit further with a strange dry beat driving the tune which is full of melodies trying to elbow each other to the side in the friendliest possible way… Side B opens with Star Flip by Holovr where a series of classic throbbing acid basslines are accompanied by an unsettling melody, not for the faint hearted! The Exaltics’ What If We Could is a haunting bubbly motherfucker of an acid track, not totally unlike Polygon Window’s Untitled, pure dark bliss… The C side then starts with a brilliantly bouncing contribution containing a beautiful melancholic theme by Piepiep, one of 030303’s co-founders. Argentina’s Nacho M Meyer is the mastermind behind Planeta, yet another dreamy cut full of Detroit-like melancholy. Zelfkant, the first contribution on the D side, is by Betonkust and feels like a classic Warp Artificial Intelligence armchair track with a touch of wave/electro. One of the best tracks on the comp then, is by Dirty Data, who delivers a track full of twisted breaks, hectic bleeps and eerie synths, mind blowing this one… Kramphaft is behind the final contribution to the compilation, again a sinister and dark one with haunting melodies spun out over unusual hard hitting electro breaks.

Betonkust & Palmbomen II – Parallel B [DKMNTL062]

BETONKUST/PALMBOMEN II - Parallel B

Moving on from their time holed up in a leisure resort relic, the Dutch retrogressive, analogue synth machine obsessives and tape fanatics Betonkust & Palmbomen II have teamed up together once more for a new EP. An immediate follow up to their debut LP Center Parcs, the new EP pays fictional homage to a now deceased famous TV star, who instead on working on the screen, took up a new direction in making music. Once more replete with esoteric experimentalism, analogue jams, drums machines, synths, and a healthy dose of acid basslines, the production duo advance upon their aesthetic with a new extended EP of nostalgic, melancholic electro.

Raffaele Fiume presents Fancy – Null Null [RAF001]

During the eighties it was possible to observe an Italian fascination with the mysterious Far East. This can be found across art, design and music in Italy during this time, in subtle or obvious ways. Specifically there are Italo-disco records that proudly show this influence, some of the best known being: Fun Fun – ‘Living In Japan’, Koto – ‘Chinese Revenge’ and City-O’ – ‘Rose of Tokyo’. Following in this theme is Fancy – ‘Null Null’, a one-off project from Italo-disco icon Raffaele Fiume. Adding to the original tracks of the 1982 release is a totally ecstatic and powerful remix from Betonkust: one of the most talented and exciting Dutch producers of recent years. Also included is an instrumental edit from Hysteric, for those who find the unique vocals challenging.

Betonkust & Palmbomen II – Center Parcs LP [DKMNTL058]

Recorded in an ageing holiday park during off-season, Center Parcs is the debut LP by Dutch artists Betonkust & Palmbomen II; a conceptual, musical-tristesse full of lo-fi harmony, and fanciful, psychedelic-coloured modulations, with an undercurrent of saturated, outsider-house beats, all recorded to tape. With a shared passion for experimental music, and gnarled Dutch electro, the duo have crafted an LP of esoteric-electronic-pop, reflective of the time the two spent holed-up in isolation, in the out-of-time Center Parcs setting.
