The first release on the new Hypnotic techno label KR3 is a mini-compilation of four club bangers that symbolises the inception and evolution of a vortex – concept that is also embodied in the label’s logo. KR3 001 is a highly powerful release that seduces the listener into a labyrinth of twisted thoughts; a notion that has been widely embraced and evoked by all the artists who have contributed with their participation to the genesis of the label. Tracks by Steve Bicknell, Zadig, Giorgio Gigli & Lunatik and Iori.

Griessmühle Weekend Ahead
This weekend we are heading again to Berlin for a quality and diverse music cure. It’s been 2 years already since our last visit to the techno city, so we will try to make the best of it, as always.
This time will be a first as we will spend out entire weekend in the same club. Griessmühle has lined up some great artists this weekend, so we decided to make it our home until in the late hours of the Monday morning.
Friday night we will have Bleak, Johannes Volk and Savas Pascalidis in the techno room and DJ Overdose and Hakim Murphy for some electro and acid in the second room.
Saturday is the main night for us when the things start to get deep & sick. In one room we will have L.I.E.S.’ Florian Kupfer and AN-i aka Lee Douglas from Cititrax and our personal favorite June. Doug Lee played last November in Bucharest and we were raving, so we have great expectations. In the other room house and techno will be spinned by Zadig with his new side project Kern Space Adventures, Daniela la Luz live and Tallmen.785.

Birth Of Frequency – The Spelling EP [POLEGROUP040]
Birth Of Frequency is back on Pole Group. Two original tracks of scientific and complex techno, plus two remixes by Oscar Mulero and Zadig. “The Spelling” is a multi-layered sequenced anthem made of countless synth sounds, a punchy kick and an hypnotic arrangement, for those heady moments on the dance floor. Paris techno founder Zadig remakes “The Spelling”. He adds hypnotising, devastating drum machines and makes the synth line grow and disappear wisely. “Gate” returns to medium tempos, fattens the sound and goes for a deeper discourse. A construction tool for clubby action. Oscar Mulero remakes “Gate” by twisting it completely, adding random step sequences and harmonies, giving the kick a secondary role, and focusing on the essence of the groove.

Between elongated synth pads, high-frequency blips and reversed kick drum sequences coupler with deep hypnotic bass lines, Zadig proves to be the talented recipient of an illustrious heritage in techno, carrying it forward with modern application.

VA – Consider This A Warning [EVENT010]
Bolstered by the unshakable body of work behind it, Brooklyn-born Berlin-based techno label Chronicle reaches its milestone tenth release with its gaze fixed dead ahead. Ten releases in, it pays to make a strong, defiant statement of intent, toasting to what the label has been about so far. More important though is to remind those tuned in to take heed, because the next step is always the most significant. Joining in on this behemoth project is; Aiken, Arnaud Le Texier, Ben Gibson, Hironori Takahashi, Imugem Orihasam, Echoplex, Mike Storm, Staffan Linzatti, & Zadig. The forward-thinking nature of the music in this collection sums up the ethos of Chronicle as a whole. Each artist has a distinct identity but they all strive to push techno into unexplored realms, placing the emphasis on atmosphere and psychological impact. In such an approach can the most affecting sounds be found, and there will surely be few listeners left unmarked by this record.
Pajaro Dune – Momentum [TMBR005]
Pure obscure deepness with a scent of house, to cap it all we brought the mighty Zadig to deliver a techno cosmic wonderful remix.
Zadig – Lost Tape [CRF010]
Zadig – Kern Space Adventures Episode #2 [SYNCRO023]
The first “episode” of Zadig’s Kern Space Adventures series, released last year, offered a particularly intergalactic take on deep house, and sat somewhere between Alien-era Larry Heard, the inherent far-sightedness of Detroit techno, and the head-in-the-clouds electronics of Space Dimension Controller’s more ambient moments. There’s a similarly weightless, drifting-through-space feel about this follow up. It’s particularly noticeable on “Quiet Orbit Around Gladia 2”, a heady fusion of deep space rhythms, loopy, acid-influenced electronics and tactile chords that seem to stretch out beyond the horizon. There’s a little more bump and swing to the slightly darker “Hunted By The Cosmic Assassin”, but it still comes smothered in glassy-eyed pads and immersive electronics.
VA – 003 [STUDIOR003]
Great collection of challenging and fine quality techno tracks by an excellent selection of artists: Fred P, Brendon Moeller, Mike Parker, Zadig, DJ Spider, Hakim Murphy and others.
Zadig – RYC Podcast 089
Berlin here we go again!
After more than 2 and a half years we are back in Berlin! and of-course we are looking forward to have a lot of fun while being.
Synthek & Audiolouis – The Storm Above Us [NTCLTD005]
Natch Records delivers a solid and diverse four tracks ep. Two originals which best represent the latest evolution of the label to a more powerful and straightforward sound. On the other side the remixes by Jeroen Search and Zadig offer really devious and unexpected interpretations, really efficient but still demanding on the dancefloor.
Zadig – TTRXL [DRH042]
Deeply Rooted House welcomes french techno veteran Zadig. The raw and energetic TTRXL, the more subtle and grooving techno monster with its haunting sounds called The Grip. And the mysterious case of Harry lime with it’s own pulsating dark energy in a classic early minimal techno.
