Israel Vines – WWKD RMXD [TEETH002]

This is the second release on Eye Teeth, the new techno sublabel of Interdimensional Transmissions, a remix EP with interpretations direct from the peers of Israel Vines. Features an incredible peak time remix of “WWKD” from Silent Servant. It is followed by another powerful and surprisingly straight techno take on “WWKD” by the often more experimental and industrial Talker. The B Side features a version of “Relapse” by Eye Teeth founder and curator BMG. This is his first published remix created entirely on his modular.

Matrixxman – Stuxnet [SPC129]

Rich with analog ideas, Matrixxman shows his interests in deep Chicago moods with techno futurism. StuxNet follows the futuristic path Matrixxman has carved out with two new acid-leaning cuts: StuxNet I and StuxNet II paired with two Amulet EP stand-outs, Venetian Mask and The Caravan, remixed by Hieroglyphic Being and Silent Servant.

Nothing But Blood – White Of The Eye [COTF005]

‘White of the Eye’ is the first release under “Nothing but Blood” from Scott Fraser, a direct link back to Scott’s earlier 90’s work and sound around the darker realms of techno and harder-edged Chicago house. The EP title refers back to a favourite Donald Cammell film of Scott’s from 88′. ‘White of the Eye’ on the A-side is an 11 minute extended mix of the lead cut. Silent Servant on remix duties delivers an amyl fuelled techno bomb landing somewhere in an 80’s new york basement. Diving deeper on B2 it features Atlanta resident Claire Elise Tippins on vocals.

Daniel Avery – The Remixes [PH042]

Culminating the cycle and international success of his debut album, Daniel Avery releases New Energy, a collection of remixes including six new reworks. Rødhåd proves why he’s the most exciting new name in techno by turning Drone Logic into a pulsing, peak-time behemoth whilst Silent Servant shows off his trademark, industrial tinged mastery on the previously ambient Spring 27. To complete this 12”, Volte-Face, owner of London’s vital experimental night BleeD, enters the production world with a beautiful and ecstatic re-imagining of Platform Zero.

Psychic TV – Alien Be-In Remix EP [DE079]

Dark Entries Editions is venturing into new waters with a remix EP of Psychic TV’s classic song “Alien Be-In”. Psychic TV was formed by Genesis P-Orridge and Peter Christopherson after the breakup of Throbbing Gristle in 1981. “Alien Be-In” was written in early 1989 on an E-mu Emax Sampler and an Alesis MMT-8 sequencer. Vocal samples were taken from a tape Germs drummer Don Bolles sent to Genesis. A didgeridoo rides throughout the song, heavily modulated by a Gristleizer creating a hypnotic effect. Comes with remixes from Fred Giannelli, Silent Servant and a collaborative remix of Silent Servant and John Tejada.

Silent Servant / Broken English Club – Split EP [CITI014]

Cititrax presents a 4 song split EP by Silent Servant and Broken English Club. Although the two are geographically very far apart, Silent Servant based in Los Angeles, US and Broken English Club based in London, UK, the two share a similar outlook and musical approach. Both projects have been on the rise lately, and stem from a strongly rooted techno background. Combining their influences of dance music, techno, EBM, industrial and post-punk, Silent Servant and Broken English Club offer a new breed of EBM infused techno wave on the Violence And Divinity EP. They artfully create music that works both on and off the dance floor, infusing a dark atmospheric mood with addictive, pulsating rhythms. Themes of love, death, modernity and automobile crashes appear throughout this EP from the music itself right through to the cover art and one of a kind vinyl pressing.

Exium – A Sensible Alternative To Emotion Remixes [POLEGROUP025]

Alternative to Emotion featuring reworks from Jonas Kopp, Silent Servant, Oscar Mulero and Tripeo. Four different points of view about real techno, from analogue workouts to modern techno vibes. Silent Servant is the first on duty, taking The 12th Planet as target, reverting it into an arpeggiated sythn monster, hypnotic, repetitive, reverberated, a perfect abstract mixing tool. Jonas Kopp uses subsonic warfare in his reconstruction, with a subterranean beat for starting that soon fills the space with an industrial beat and hi frequency drones…no jokes here. Oscar Mulero gives the remix from Massless Particle, flanged synths, clear kicks, a breathing beat and repetition as a therapy, subtle 808 claves and some hi frequency drones complete the menu. Last guest is Tripeo. The remix for Dronid shows the intrincate part of Tripeo’s mind, broken beats, sweeping ambient drones, synth bleeps and pads, an ideal intro track for serious techno sets.

VA – Polar Inertia Remixed [DM3D005]

DEMENT3D Records presents : Polar Inertia Remixed // DM3D005 The story may be quite standard, nevertheless, we feel this record is really special. Last year, in Paris, among all the promoters that made this kind of ”techno riot” happen, there was ”The Only Way Out.”. It’s been found guilty for Silent Servant’s and Abdulla Rashim’s first appearances in the french capital. We’ve had the honour of sharing these line ups with them, finally getting in touch, and starting conversations that ultimately ended up being a record : dedicated to remixing Polar Inertia’s first two ”EP-sodes”. So that’s it, ”Major Axis” has been handled by Silent Servant, ”Black Sun” transfigured by Abdulla Rashim, and our in-house champion Francois X has made a very special treatment to ”The Last Vehicle”. We are positively thrilled about this one.
