Emerging from the Italian West Coast and the mind of Violet Poison, Diana Berti lands on Slow Motion Records with ‘Like A Pierrot In The Night,’ a record that traces their Proto-EBM silhouette and dives deeper into the murky depths. With sprinkles of chimes and the guttural force of affirming low ends, Berti pieces together a rich tapestry, casting an ethereal light on darker industrial tones.
May 9 to 12 it is that time of the year again: The Intergalactic FM Festival of 2024 in The Hague. Mad DJ and Live action @ PIP and Panama Racing Club with about 100 artists standing by to rock the place.

The fifth Kri release was produced by a New York based producer Richard Gamble. Dream Sequence EP explores the boundaries between mutated Wave, Minimal Synth, and EBM in search of a perfect loop and the most epic melody. A dim and moisty atmosphere is often cut by a ray of light but you can’t be sure if it’s just a flashing strobe. Three original tracks command absolute attention on the dancefloor or on the sofa and are accompanied by a Violet Poison remix.
For the second output of e s p e r p e n t o, Francesco Baudazzi evokes his enigmatic and esoteric side project Violet Poison.ESPER002. includes 5 original tracks plus a stomper remix by the Liber Null founder Unhuman.

‘Shadowland’ is Marguerite Records’ 11th release, kindly provided by Francesco Baudazzi, the mastermind behind Diana Berti and Violet Poison and other countless wonderful musical aliases. Slowly emerging from the Ligurian Sea waters, A side comes from the mysterious Diana Berti; the opening track is a minimal synth with industrial attitude jam called ‘I wanna spend the night with you’, followed up by the melancholic italo-wave affair ‘Lonely soul’ on A2. Closing the first side is the retro cinematic high-tension roller ‘Mistral’. On the flip side Francesco summons his Violet Poison alias with 2 dancefloor ready tracks: B1 – the title track, ‘Shadowland’, – a mutant jam that you will absolutely love if you dig the Smersh, and the atmospheric new-beatish cut ‘The Mistake’. Closing up the EP is the clumsy wave ‘There will be always hope’, a heartful positive hymn for the new-romantics, inspired by Italian new wave bands from the 80’s such as Victrola and 2+2=5.

Great compilation on Spanish wierdo label Burka For Everybody. The third volume of the series Material Eléctrico, a compilation of international mutant electronic underground. A tour around experimental electronics covering abstract rythms (Santiago, Black Zone Myth Chant), industrial EBM / new beat (Celldöd, Klack, Violet Poison, Bässt), minimal wave (Circa Tapes, Sam de la Rosa) and the great collaboration between Sam De La Rosa & Kyle Dixon.
Sweden’s Kess Kill and Italy’s Veleno Viola join forces resulting in a (nowadays) rare vinyl split release, one side per label. Violet Poison needs little introduction, being one of the first and most productive in the new new wave movement of industrial music. He helms the Veleno Viola side, coincidentally being his own label, With three songs of purist industrial with its feet in both body and rhythmic noise. On Kess Killís Side B, the very same signore Baudazzi shows another side with his anarcho alias Bakunin Commando. Two tracks leaning heavily towards post-punk and proto-techno, raising the pulse far above the wholesome, in true Kess Kill manner.
Vague Output is a party, collective and label out of Baltimore that opposes any teleological understanding of underground electronic music. The label debuts with a perfect collection of EBM, Italo, Synthwave, and Proto-Techno from Veleno Viola label head Francesco Baudazzi’s alter egos Violet Poison, Bakunin Commando, and Diana Berti.
The second instalment of the ongoing Pubblicazione series serves up a triple-header of dark, intense and otherworldly experimental treats. On the A-side Italian artist Violet Poison invites us to “The Drome”, a place where druggy EBM arpeggio lines, throbbing synth motifs, discordant female vocal samples and thrusting industrial funk drums fight it out to the death. Over on the flipside, Diana Berti gives us a glimpse of her “Spider Pit”, an altogether more melodious and crystalline place laden with glistening synthesizer motifs, bustling machine percussion and raw arpeggio bass. To round things off, Opfer Der Hingabe channels the spirit of the Duratti Column on the slow and seductive bliss of “The Victim (1990)”. Progressive industrial to cinematic ambient, via new beat synth explorations.
Mechatronica launches their new White series, dedicated to limited edition white label records across synth, wave, EBM and italo with a VA release featuring Inhalt, Violet Poison, Sneaker and Daniel Holt. Mechatronica White 1 opens with Sneaker’s gloomy remix of German synth-pop band Opus Leopard, followed by the electrifying instrumental version of ‘Alles’ – a relentlessly progressing piece of body music from San Francisco trio, Inhalt. On the flip, Violet Poison summons a fat, trippy EBM-leaning groove, before Daniel Holt finishes off the record with anthemic synths and a ticket to the cosmos on ‘Floating Mansions’.
Blind Delon debuted back in 2016 with Edouard EP. After a sold out and a lot of love and great acceptance of specialized press the french duo presents 4 new remixes of the main track Edouard signed by Kareem, Synths Versus Me, I Hate Models and Violet Poison.
