Mikron – Foresight EP [ZONE028]

The next release on Zone is from electro and techno duo Mikron with a great remix from The Exaltics. The brilliantly gurgling and steely ‘Ulterior’ kicks things off with sheet metal hits, slithering bass and buffed-up synth sounds that make you jerk your body. It’s direct stuff for the dancefloor, and so is ‘Vanguard’. Though less quick and in your face than the opening track, it still has the sort of crisp groove that has real impact. A distant cosmos of howling winds and thundering rumbles add weight to the whole thing and really finishes it in style. ‘Foresight’ is even more haunting and spooky. Chilly metal pads spiral in the background, lurching drums and hits bring the groove and the mood overall is truly unsettling. It’s devastating stuff that gets completed with Clone and Shipwrec artist The Exaltics’ take on Ulterior’. The German has fun layering in Drexcyia style, ripped-up synths and crisp hits. It’s macho and post apocalyptic and is as inviting as it is austere.

dynArec – In Your Hand [TR011]

DYNAREC - In Your Hand

Dynarec is one of those who is capable to impress each and every time that he delivers a release. Dynarec improves on even the most advanced experimental electro as no one did before, giving it depth, awareness and knowledge, making it more rigid and linear. A journey into those post Drexciya atmospheres which reach some of the highest moments in a new. Romantic and complex, rich in detail and unlikely to be imitated or surpassed by others on the contemporary new electro scene. Drexciyan kind of Electro with The Exaltics and Voiski on remix duty.

Composite Profuse – Unalaska Ice Files [SHIP039]

COMPOSITE PROFUSE - Unalaska Ice Files

Composite Profuse, aka Valerio Lombardozzi aka Heinrich Dressel, breaks radio silence after seven years in the shadows. Cold winds curl and otherworldly atmospheres abound for Unalaska Ice Files. Arctic tundra and ice are the inspiration, frozen vistas dappled with warming light, subtle shifts and sinister shades. Teslasonic take on the title track, injecting electrical pulses and an underhanded edge. Shipwrec stalwart, Robert Witschakowski aka The Exaltics, gives his own icicle encrusted interpretation, one of stark percussion and expansive horizons.

Heinrich Mueller & The Exaltics – Project STS-31 – Spiralgalaxie [SOM040]

Project STS-31-Spiralgalaxie (Hubble Telescope Series Vol.3) A clash of the Titans! Celebrating Solar One Music’s 40th release and 10th anniverary, this split LP sees two stars under various disguises, Heinrich Mueller (aka Der Zyklus and various other projects) and German producer Robert Witschakowski aka The Exaltics, back to back in a no return odyssey through the depths of the Galaxy. Expect nothing but contemplative and cosmic electro beats using original outer-space sounds from the Universe. Closing the Hubble telescope trilogy which brought to you Luxus Varta and more recently E.R.P. (respectively with the “Everything Is Nothing” and “Ancient Light” EP’s), trippy “Spiralgalaxie” will mark a new step in SOM’s History. As usual, the final chapter of the series dedicated solely to Hubble and all the great scientists and engineers at the NASA and ESA, comes with a beautiful cover print picture taken by the Space Telescope. CD comes with bonus tracks by Project STS-31, The Exaltics, Robert Heise and a extended alternate bonus Version of Der Zyklus – Ionospheric Delay.

The Exaltics / Umwelt – Rave Or Die 6 [ROD06]

On this installment of the long running Rave Or Die series, ever-present producer Umwelt is joined by prolific, mask-wearing techno misfits The Exaltics. It’s the latter, a German twosome headed up by Robert Witschakowski, who strike first, layering up bubbly electronics, hard-wired acid lines, muscular beats and spacey chords on the sweaty techno/electro hybrid “Endless Journey”. Umwelt goes a little deeper and moodier on flipside “Delusive Reality”. While the acid lines are sharp and occasionally intense, he contrasts them with bittersweet pads, yearning melodies and a pulsating rhythm track full of relentless kick drums, crunchy snares and hissing cymbals.

Umwelt – State Of Matter [SHPRMX1]

Shipwrec rolls out its new remix series with a serious slab of electro red meat. The main course is served by a machine music master, Umwelt. And what else would the serving be but the rawest of electro, coarsened by surging acid and slicing snares. Accompanying the original are a triumvirate of talent: Ekman, The Exaltics and Eomac.

E.R.P. – Ancient Light [SOM039]

This stunning Ep is the second part of Solar One Music’s Hubble telescope Series. As homage to the Hubble Telescope and all the great scientists and engineers at the NASA and ESA each part of the series comes with a cover print picture taken by the Hubble Telescope. The series consists of 3 releases featuring E.R.P., Heinrich Mueller, Rudolf Klorzeiger, The Exaltics, Luxus Varta and more.

VA – Signs Of Decay [SOM038]

Signs of Decay: Acid Compilation with dirty and hard acid cuts by Ekman, The Exaltics, Helena Hauff, Perseus Traxx, Drvg Cvltvre and a artwork made by Godspill. A powerful collective statement on the desiccation some “hard and dirty acid tracks” can do to a dancefloor. Don’t come here looking for any lofty concepts, this is just five of the best banging their boxes in the name of all that is grotty and lysergic.

The Exaltics – The Girl & The Chameleon [SHIPLP004]

“The Girl and the Chameleon” will probably fall under the genre tags of acid, electro and techno but it is so much more. Robert Witschkowski has been responsible for exemplary electronics throughout his career and this latest is undeniably some of his best. The album sees The Exaltics don a dust mask. Warehouse parties, strobe lights and fog machines and the 90s underground acid scene are definite influences. But there’s more. Across thirteen tracks and two slabs of wax the Jena artist takes you on a journey into his world. Gnarled and clinical grooves, caustic 303 encounters, depraved dancefloor destroyers and soothing machine music. A sonic trek through tough and taut textures with touches of tenderness. An album that shows a depth of ability, an enviable talent and a knowledge of how to break floorboards.

The Exaltics – The Truth (Remixes) [SOM035]

Solar One Music presents the follow up to The Exaltics retrospective “The Truth 2008 – 2013” released early this year. Five of The Exaltics best tracks are revisit by  ERP, Gosub, Dopplereffekt, Objekt, and Ultradyne. On the A side, E.R.P. aka Convextion turns the opener “My Language” into an emotive electro rework where sweet drums combine to soft synth layers. Followed by Ultradyne’s disturbing “Compressed Thoughts” remix, expect experimental electro beats and distorted modulations straight from Detroit. On the flipside, a SOM regular signature, Gosub injects on “IMOEH” a serious dose of electrofunk vibes. His classy remix gives a breath of fresh air while “Journey To Jupiter” reworked by Objekt propels you in orbit after an epic trip though space. Merging electro beats to groovy lines and contemporary synths colors, Dopplereffekt keeps the pressure: “Instinct” signs here a masterly conclusion to the EP.

The Exaltics – The Truth 2008-2013 [SOM032LP]

Is the Truth out there? With “The Truth 2008 – 2013” anthology, Solar One Music presents a refine selection of some of The Exaltics greatest tracks from 2008-2013. Box Set , five years of a highly prolific career. This future classic retrospective gathers together the very best of the Jena located artist on labels such like Transient Force, Bunker, Clone or Last Known Trajectory just to name a few. Only a handful of talents succeeded to emerge from the shadows and raise up such enthusiasm the way The Exaltics did over the last 8 years. Widely regarded as one-to-follow since making his musical debut back in 2007, the co-founder of the Solar One Music label never stop transmitting to Earth warning signals, that would affect the whole human race. Early influenced by Detroit and the European West Coast movements, the German producer, real name Robert Witschakowski, quickly forged his own musical identity, extending the legacy of Drexciya or Dopplereffekt. Always coming on strong with a dense, dystopian and even hostile sound, the present LP turns into a testimony of The Exaltics’s technical skills behind his machines. Featuring eleven cuts (two of them never released on vinyl and one unreleased track) of pure robotic madness tinted with Sci-fi and aggressive funk, with lots of room for experiment to turn dancefloors into panic zones, pushing Acid Techno and Dark Electro genres forward, far beyond trends. Thanks to SOM032, the Truth about Ancient Aliens and their plans to invade Earth is definitively in your hands: a must have for every fan of electronics with soul and nuts. We are not alone!
