June Records presents Concept 1210, a collaborative project between We Are Monsters, Ratlife Records, Nation and June Records. Represented respectively by All The Wild Eyes (Solar), Credit 00, Naughty Wood, Traxx, The Pedestrian, Villan X, Trenton Chase and June. Concept 1210 is a contemporary take on DIY electronics, made with the original rhythm machines, synthesizers and sequencers that became available between the period of late 1970s to mid 1980s.
J. Tijn – Half Empty Half Full EP [WNCL026]
J. Tijn makes a welcome return to the Cassette Library for his second EP on WNCL Recordings. Once again, the boy wonder explores musical worlds outside of his perceived comfort zone (”HEHF”), gets his bleep on (”Fat Controller”) whilst ensuring the die-hard raving crew are kept happy (”Malaria”). To round things off, we’re also treated to the next installment in the beat-heavy Decimated series (”Decimated #8”).
Anetha – Ophiuchus EP [WORKTHEM025]
French producer Anetha delivers four hypnotic techno cuts in her debut EP on Spencer Parker’s Work Them Records. ‘Black Widow’ begins with a syncopated kick and chugging synth line, before ‘Orchid’s Curse’ delivers piercing percussion and an infectious 303. ‘Last Evening’ then ventures into mesmerising territories with its tantalising atmospherics, until ‘Drive With A Dead Girl’ conjures a sullen vibe through the use of arpeggiated notes and poignant moans.

Luxus Varta – Everything Is Nothing [SOM037]
Killer deep space electro techno on Solar One Music. Feeling inspired by the journey into space, Solar One Music has been working hard to create their own Hubble Telescope Series, which captures the feeling of space exploration through different experimental dance-floor tracks. As a homage to the Hubble Telescope and all the great scientists and engineers at the NASA and ESA and each part of the series comes with a cover print picture taken by the Hubble Telescope. Featured for the first part of the series, is the talented artist Emeric Di Paolo aka Luxus Varta including a stellar collab with Detroit Grand Pubahs main man: Paris the Black FU. A superb spacey, atmospheric sound bed with a incomparable, hypnotic voice from Paris The Black FU.
VA – Vortex Traks Vol.1 [VTX001]
Berlin based label Vortex Traks is brought to life with the release of their first EP. Mesak kicks things off with high energy electro funk which is followed by a flight across the galaxy piloted by Jeremiah R. Flipside goes deeper, with Matti Turunen delivering a dubby acid flavored electro cut. Automatic Tasty finishes things off with a magnificent track featuring an addictive bassline and some very emotive chords.
Mater Suspiria Vision – Antropophagus Remixes EP [GD015]
For those not in the know Mater Suspria Vision are one of last remaining first wave of Witch House, proceed without prejudice, MSV were a truly bizarre one of a kind group. Combining Cosmic style with early Krautrock experimentation, bootleg VHS and a wild sense of humour, MSV have been one of our favourite groups for a long time. We’ve taken their last LP Antropophagus and run it through the Giallo Disco filter, featuring remixes by Xander Harris, Parasols AKA Ali Renault, Antoni Maiovvi and Vercetti Technicolor.

Interval 100 @ Bucharest, November 27 – December 2, 2015
Interval is the longest musical event in European nightlife history. Planned as a 100 hour nonstop party, it takes place in 3 of Bucharest’s central hubs devoted to house & techno fans. Interval features 100 international and local artists as well as over 380 hours of music throughout its 5 days.

VA – From Hell With Love [LIH016]
Eight tracks blend the boundaries between original productions, illicit remixes and straight re-edits. There’s a celebratory, life-affirming feel throughout, from the rubbery bass, D-Train synths and rolling house grooves of Giovanni Damico’s ”The Break Down”, to the bluesy deep house brilliance of Borrowed Identity’s ”Queens Bridge”. Highlights are plentiful elsewhere, too, from the hustlin’ electrofunk-meets-disco of Vogel’s own ”Come On”, to the killer synth solos and fuzzy bits of Tim Jules’ thrilling ”Slap Beat”.

Timothy J Fairplay – No News From New York [WFL001]
Glasgow has a new label on the horizon in the shape of Work For Love who kick off proceedings with a fine 12″ from Mr Timothy J Fairplay. Given his previous form and the title of this 12″, it’s easy to suggest the influence of John Carpenter looms over No News From New York, but there are more strings to Fairplay’s bow than that as the four tracks prove. There is a range of tempos explored here, with “Carla Is Typing A Message” a deathly crawl through delay-laden synth drama, whilst “Court Street Shuffle” is a life-affirming box jam that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Legowelt record. Those melodies! “Mickey’s Theme” is more redolent of Fairplay’s celebrated work with Sir Weatherall, whilst the title track is the slowest production here and is quite captivating.
